Preparing Your Space
To get the most out of this scan, find a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted.
- Position: Sit upright in a chair with your feet planted firmly on the floor. This grounding posture helps you feel stable and present.
- Focus: Gently close your eyes to withdraw your attention from the outside world and turn it inward.
The Step-by-Step Energy Scan
1. The Belly (The Center of Being)
Place your right hand on your belly. Instead of focusing on your thoughts, focus entirely on the physical sensation of the warmth under your palm.
- The Action: Breathe deeply into this space.
- The Observation: Notice what is present. Is there tension, emptiness, or heaviness? Don’t try to fix or analyze it; simply be the observer.
2. The Solar Plexus (The Seat of Power)
Move your hand to the area just above your navel. This region often holds our sense of control and fear.
- The Action: Inhale and exhale slowly.
- The Visualization: Imagine energy flowing through this area like a clear stream of light. Does it feel hot or cold? Let the breath move any stagnancy.
3. The Heart (The Emotional Hub)
Place both hands over your chest and heart area. This is where we store emotions, old hurts, and our capacity for compassion.
- The Action: Continue your steady breathing.
- The Release: If your chest feels tight, visualize a door gently opening, allowing any restricted energy to soften and expand.
4. Grounding and Integration
Lower your hands and rest them in your lap with your palms facing upward.
- The Sensation: Feel the energy returning to you, rising from the earth and moving upward through your entire frame.

Understanding Your Signals
When you open your eyes, take a moment to reflect. The areas where you felt heaviness or resistance are your “signals.” Your body already knows where the blocks are; the scan simply gives you the silence required to hear them.
Suggested Practice: Try this scan once in the morning to set your intent, or in the evening to clear the day’s stress. Consistent practice allows you to identify patterns and address energy blocks before they lead to burnout.
